Squeezer Tags...

I read a post by Linachu about the same subject.

So I was inspired to do this tag. I hope Linachu don't mind...

Just cut and paste after the lines do the normal thingy for tagging.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Squeezer Tags.

Simply, It's about where you squeeze the toothpaste.

Rule - Just answer the questions below and post in on your blogs. And of course, you have to tag at least one person, the more the merrier..

Question 1 :

Which Squeezer are you? please select one of the following and let's see how the statistic is :-

A - Top-squeezer (squeeze from the top part)

B - Middle-squeezer (squeeze from the middle)

C - Bottom-Squeezer (squeeze from the bottom)

D - Random squeezer (squeeze anywhere you can get your fingers on)

Question 2 :

Explain your answer in Question 1 or whatever you want to say about it...

Question 3 : (Who you want to tag..)

I am sure my good friend Lab Papa have something to say about this... so I would love to tag him first...

And Rin-chan hanekoma...

I also wants to know which part San-chan's like to squeeze..hehehe

Kindly do the honour of being the first persons to do this tag...

Of Dreams...

I seldom dream nowadays. I don't know why. Or maybe I have forgotten about it when I wakes up in the morning.

I realised also that I only dream at nigh time, never did I dream when I take a nap, which usually is in the afternoon, i.e. on Sundays. Or perhaps that nap is very short, not enough to 'create' dreams..

When it comes to dreams, especially bad dreams, my dear wifey is always a pessimist on this matter. When I tell her about my bad dreams, she will become worried.

I've dreamt of snakes chasing & biting me, some unrecognisable monster terrifying me and many more. Each time I tell her about it, she will become worried and will say 'tidak bagus tu..'. and she will be worried for some time, longer if my dreams gets very bad or scarier. She even ask me to be careful at times.

As for me, I always tells her that it's just a dream. That it is our 'mind playing with our thoughts'. Not saying that I do not want to believe her or take what she says or advice for granted, but I am a 'positive' person. So, I wouldn't really take too much attention to dreams, even if it scares the hell out of me! Another reason I don't want to take much attention of my dreams is that I don't want to be worrying or hoping too much (if it's a good dream... hehehe). Perhaps, I don't want to be a superstitious person.

When I was still studying at tertiary level, I once dreamed of a 'black-faceless thing' terrifying me. I remember that I was sleeping on my very bed (at college) and all of a sudden I am levitated slowly onto the ceiling. I cried for help to my French room-mate but I can't hear any sounds coming out from my mouth. And on that ceiling, there is the 'black-faceless thing' waiting for me. I remember 'it' to be laughing and saying something that scares me, which I can't recall now.

At first, I didn't pay too much attention to this scary dream. Then it repeated twice a week. And it becomes more regular, even repeated every day! What scares me is that it is the same dream repeated over and over again... like repeating a scene from a DVD movie. It goes on for 2-3 months!! I become so scared that I went to see some people whom I got to know in the Church at PJ to pray for me. And yes, after they prayed over me, the dream never 'resurface'. After that, I never had any dream of this nature.

Well, enough of my 'scary' dream. The thing is, I always treat dreams as just something played by our mind or brains. There's a scientific explanation to dreams, I believe. But for many Asians, IMO, some people are quite 'superstitious'. Some even claim can predict dreams. I don't want to offend them but at the same time, I also believe that some people are 'gifted'.

Anyway, last night, I dreamed that my good ol' Kalabau (car) was stolen. I looked for it frantically. Only thing is that it seems I was looking for my car at the same area where I left it before it was stolen. In between the dream, I can't remember how the story goes. But at the ending of the dream, I did manage to 'find' my Kalabau back, but its 'body' already been changed to some other car model (I think it's a Proton Wira) . But still I can recognise the 'sound' of my car (engine sound, that is) though, so I am very sure it's my dear Kalabau. But the thieves manage to run away with it before I could catch them.... (this is a true dream, I didn't make them up.. in case you are asming)

As to whether I want to tell my wife about this dream, I don't know. But maybe I just keep it to myself. I don't want her to worry too much. enough with her worrying about our little JJ and not worrying about some small and 'meaningless' things...

Hop.. hop.. by Hombidai

Rin-chan's Pieces...

I was so worried...

Early this morning before going to work and while my wifey is having a bath, I was taking care of my 1-year plus son, JJ

At that time, I have just finished giving him milk to drink in our bedroom. Normally, I would have put the milk bottle away while cradling him or ask him to walk with me.

But what I did was what I will regret. I actually left him for a blink of an eye to just put the milk bottle on the table which is just outside the bedroom door. He was, at that time was sitting happily on the mattress (we have taken out the bed and put into the other room as we don't want JJ to fall from the bed). I was just turning around to go and get him back, but in the same moment, he fell off the mattress and hit his head on the wall!!! There was a loud 'thud'... my goodnesss!!!

Wahhhh... I was very shocked and quickly get him. I calmed him down and rubbed his head where I think has hit the brickwall. My wife also come running out of the bathroom to see what happened. she took JJ from me to calm him down as he was crying quite hard. Then he vomitted. Probably because he just had his milk.

I was soooo worried, even until now. I kept on texting my wife to see if he is okay or not. I hope there's no internal injury or anything... God plaese help. I am worried... quite worried

It was my mistake.. I took the chance to put away the bottle, neglecting JJ for a blink-of-an-eye... what a terrible mistake is that... and I am still worried... :<

Lunch time story to share...

I was having my lunch just now while reading my favourite local newspaper and nearly splurts out the contents of my mouth when I read a news about the Keris being displayed as a sex toy in a sex museum in Amterdam.. (though why I nearly splurted, I don't know)..

It was reported that a Malaysian blogger, known as KJ Lim, discovered it while on a trip to Europe. Here is the blog mentioned in the news by KJ Lim - www.4896kj.com.

The thing is, when does a keris become a sex toy?... I don't understand. I believe the keris is a symbol of 'warriorism', like the samurai swords et al.

Perhaps someone have thought up some 'dirty' imaginations and used the keris as a sex toy. I don't have the brightest idea on this matter...

Well, it's just my lunch time story to share with you all…

All Hail Queen Nicol David....

Yes.. yes.. yes..

Queen Nicol David has done it again.. winning the Malaysian Open 2008 title for the fourth time in a row!!! Wowieeee...

Yea..yea.. I now this post is two days late..but there's nothing too late especially if you are celebrating something isn't it? So, let us all fans of Nicol David celebrate her fifth win this year.... hoooraaayyy... We are proud of you Nicol!! Keep up the fantastic work...

One thing I always noticed with Nicol is that she always say the kindest of thing to her opponent if she beats them. She says something like "she didn't play her best game today and I took the advantage" to Natalie Grinham when interviewed after winning last saturday... fantastic and professional answer that is!!

All the best to Nicol in her quest for the sixth title this year in the Singapore Masters... hope to see her lifting those 'looked-like-heavy' winner's cup... yeah!!

(P/S : I have linked the blog and main website dedicated to Nicol David by Team Nicol David Online in this blog.. feel free to visit them for more news of her... cheers!!)

Datuk Nicol David's blog

When I checked my ‘ramblings’ this morning, I was surprised to know that my blog was visited by WM Siew ,the Editor of Nicol David Online blog… how she managed to find me, I am not sure, but thanks anyway for visiting and leaving a comment. I will link Nicol’s blog in my ‘ramblings’..

I also just realized that I have spelled Nicol’s name with an ‘e’ in my previous posting – Nicole. Sorry for that, and I also used ‘Dato’’ instead of ‘Datuk’.. so when I saw Nicol Online’s blog, then I realized my mistake. It should be ‘Datuk’… sorry for that everyone and to Nicol. I bet she’ll be mad at me if she knows I spelled her name with an ‘e’…. hehehe. So, with embarassment, I edited my blog...

Anyway, if you want to get to know Nicol David or want to read latest news on her, please visit Nicol David Online ….

From Nicol's blog : she will be celebrating her 25th born day this August, so the Team of Nicol David Online is looking for ideas as to what they can give to Nicol as a gift or two... so if you have an idea or two, please give them a visit and your ideas...

You go girl... Datuk Nicol Ann David

I never understand how squash is played or scored. Nor did I ever try to understand the game itself. What I know is that it is played by two people in a space enclosed by four walls, hitting a small ball. And I believe you can never play doubles in this game, otherwise it will be too crowded..hehehe. So, squash is a one-man game. Solo, if you may want to call it. I understand it can be a very physical game.

Squash never seem to be a well-known game in Malaysia, until this lady - Datuk Nicol David - becomes the world champion. So, nowadays, if you ask anyone about squash, Nicole David will come into mind. Similarly with myself, she has 'introduced' squash to me. So, whenever there is a game of squash on the satellite tv, and Nicol in action, I will surely watch it.

Recently, she has been awarded the title 'Datuk' by the Penang Government. Well, what a fantastic recognition to someone who not only is a world champion, but also made Penang and Malaysia proud. I am not so sure if she is the youngest 'Datuk'' in Malaysia but she deserved it. No one can deny that such recognition is fitting for someone like Nicol David.

Some people may question about her being conferred the title at such a young age. But why question it? she really deserved it, don't you think? furthermore, she is not a one-off champion, She keeps on winning games and championships year after year. very consistent. unlike some of our athletes who become champion one day and free-fall the next day. But Nicol is different. She has the mentality of a champion, very professional and high determination. She doesn't sulk when she lose, but comes stronger to come back and win. Nor did she rest on her laurels when she is winning. Great lady, she is. And she deserve all plaudits and recognition of her achievement.

Some people were given Datukship just by doing something, once in their life. Yes, I agree credit where it is due. But, those people who questions Nicol David's recognition are people of 'narrow mind'. But I am sure most Malaysian will agree with me that she deserved what was given to her....

So, for those of you who wants to know more of this 'Super Lady', you can visit the website dedicated to her at http://www.azuanzahdi.com/nicol/index.html. You can view all her achievements until today, if you like and decide wether she deserves her 'Datukship' if you are still in doubt.

Anyway, I hope she will win the CIMB Malaysian Open 2008 tomorrow (26/07/2008) against Natalie Grinham. You go girl and make Malaysia proud.. (http://www.squashsite.co.uk/malaysian08.htm)

As for me, I am also already being conferred my Datukship this year. Yea, it's true, I am a 'Datuk'. If you do not believe it, you can ask my grand-daughter Xaviera-Marie....hehehe

Sorry for my digression...

Go Go Dato' Nicol Ann David

No Fake ICs in Sabah...

I read in the local newspaper today that ‘there are no people found guilty of having fake Mykads in Sabah from the year 2004 to 2008’. It was a written statement to answer an inquiry in the Parliament, according to the news.

The news stated that “from year 2004 to 2008, there were 562 cases of fake ICs detected. 59 in Melaka, 32 in KL, 26 (Perak), 21 (Selangor), 4 (Kelantan) and one in Terengganu. Another 156 cases were described as being under Police action”.

None was reported from Sabah. It seems we are clean of this issue, based on the statement made.

I am a bit puzzled and confused (as was the person interviewed in the news) on this issue. If I am not mistaken, there was at least once (yes, at least once, FGS) that I read in the news of people convicted of having fake Mykads. Even on the paper today (23/07/08) there is a news that four foreigners are caught and charged in court for having fake National Registration Department (NRD) documents. As far as I know, NRD documents can only be Birth certificate or ICs.

What is the real scenario actually in my beloved Sabah, especially on this fake ICs issues? Or maybe what were reported are the truth and the real scenario, as such there is no fake ICs at all in Sabah. ALL people in Sabah have genuine Mykads and are genuine Sabahans…………………

This is news to me…

Are you happy with your job?...

Last week, I’ve read in the newspaper about many Malaysian workers regret their career choice, according to a survey. The news says “almost two-third of worker’s in Malaysia said that they would have studied something totally different after leaving school if given chance while one in eight said they choose the wrong career”. It is also reported that “quite a few regret the direction that their job has taken them”.

I remember some times back Kadusmama blogged something about the IT career, something about ‘I didn’t choose IT, IT choose me…”

Last but not least, the news concluded that “66% of respondents in Malaysia were happy with their career choice, while 13% said they made the wrong choice and 21% were not sure.

Okay, so anyone of you is one of the 115,000 people surveyed in Malaysia? If not, what do you think of this survey? Are any of you feels that you have chosen the wrong career? Or that you regret your current job and where it is taking you?..

Of the percentage, in which bracket are you? One of the 66%, 21% or 13%?

As for me, I am in the 66% bracket. Although I am not able to choose my choice of career, I am still happy that I got a proper job and satisfied with what I am doing now…hahaha.. I’ve worked hard to learn the job I am doing now so I can’t be saying I am not satisfied or happy. I am still learning the trade though. But maybe also, I am fated to be in the field that I am doing now, kan?..hehehe

So what do you all think friends?

Try-Test-Kinam Hombidai's Style...

Once in a while, JJ’s mom (my dear wifey) would ask me what to cook for dinner, and being a ‘chicken lover’, I would always suggest everything that has got to do with chicken - from chicken curry, chicken soup to ‘siken wings’… of course she will oblige but if it gets too much ‘chicken’ all the time, she will complain and ask me for other things not based on 'chicken'. When first I learn how to 'cari makan' at Poppet's kitchen, I did suggest a few..hehehe (Thanks Poppet)

A couple of days ago, JJ’s mom ran out of idea what to cook for dinner again.. I wanted to but I resisted the idea of suggesting more chicken recipe, as I was not in the mood to eat heavy dinner with rice (rice is 'mahal' nowaday's also hehehe). Thanks to Lab Papa and Poppet, I got a good idea of what to suggest other than my favourite food. So, here is the picture of what we eat for dinner that night… it wasn’t a warung style burger, nor it was a sloppy burger.. but it’s my try-test-kinam homemade burger, prepared entirely by hombidai… I wanted to do it so my wife have the TV all by herself watching ‘Cinderella’, while our JJ was running around the house, doing everything from climbing chairs and tables, throwing his toys, putting anything that he is able to get his hands on his mouth etc.

It was a beef burger (not chicken though. Strangely, I don’t like the taste of a chicken burger) wrapped with eggs, including margarines, tomatoes, cheese and of course, some chilly sauce.

And today, based on the ideas I got from Lab Papa and Poppet’s ‘kitchen’ also… I come up with Hombidai’s Try-Test-Kinam Sandwich. It’s actually a normal sandwich with peanut butter and margarine spread with a piece of KRAFT’s cheese. But what I think quite special is that I put the sandwiches in an oven and heat it for 1 minute to melt the cheese. It’s quite yummy, IMO, because the melted cheese tasted so good. Or maybe I was hungry, but JJ and his mom liked it also.. hehehe..

Here is the picture of Hombidai’s Try-Test-Kinam Sandwich. The one with a burger bun is actually the left-over bun from a couple of days ago when we had my version of homemade burger..

And of course we ate the the burgers with Coca-cola. But the sandwiches I ate together with a mug of 'kupi', 'Milo' for JJ's mom and 'warm water' for JJ..hehe

(P/s : the quality of the picture is not good though, as it was taken with my good ol’ digital camera. But bulihlah.. kampung-kampung kan..hehe)

R.I.P.

R.I.P. (Rest in Pocket.. well.. someone else’s pocket that is..)

Little Buddy a.k.a Nokia 5310

Born – 06/02/08
Departed – 02/07/08

Sadly missed and always remembered by : Hombidai Boibud

Brothers and sisters : Nokia 6300, Nokia 3120, Nokia 3610

Left behind : The charger, earphones, handsfree kit, microSD adapters

“May Little Buddy rest in peace in someone else pocket…”

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I took the picture a few weeks ago as I wanted to do a posting on Little Buddy, who would’ve thought that it will be the first and last of ‘him’ and this posting is not what I have in mind at that time…

Little buddy of mine...

Haaaa (long sigh..) .. my feelings is still ‘not back to normal’ as I may call it.. Generally I am a happy and positive person. But sometimes there are things that we can’t avoid and it affects us so much. For example, we lost things that we are really attached to or a person who are very close to us. So, losing my handphone a couple of days ago was something that affect me.. I really love that ‘little buddy’ of mine.. (sigh!) well, life goes on as some may say.

I really wanted to edit and post some ‘postponed’ ramblings of mine last night but … aaaahhhh (the long sigh again)… the mood was not in place. I’ve typed a couple of sentences, but that’s all. I turned my PC off and went to watch some Japanese anime on tv. I guess I can ramble a lot when I am in a happy mood. But wait, I can still post this one when I am not that happy?...

Some friends said to me, “C’mon man! It’s just a handphone… a bloody handphone! It’s note like you lose somebody..”. True. They are right. I have to get over it.

But again, there are ‘little things’ in our life that sometimes can be a ‘big thing’ especially the things that we love or attached to. Maybe I was too attached to this handphone of mine? Some may say we can’t be too attached to things. Maybe they are correct. Maybe they’re not. But whatever it is, for me, if I really love that particular thing, I will love it a much as I could.. (haha.. sounds like loving a person :>)

Some times ago, we use to love the ‘walkman’ a.k.a portable cassettes or cd player, including myself. Since the creation of mp3’s, the good old ‘walkman’ becomes obsolete. Nowadays, we call it ‘mp3 players’ or ‘iPOD’. Whatever the name is, it is still a mobile thing that plays ‘songs’. Because I love to listen to songs wherever I go or do, I bought this thing I call ‘little buddy’. Yes, it’s a handphone, but the main reason I bought is because it’s an mp3 player. It is also small and light. I treated it like my good old walkman actually instead of as a handphone. Yea, I talk a little on the handphones but I do text a lot…

‘Little buddy’ accompanies me everywhere. ‘Little buddy’ serenades me when I’m in the office doing overtime and helps me to keep the spirit going even though I have tones of works on my table. ‘Little buddy’ keeps me from boredom when waiting for the bus to go and back from work. ‘Little buddy’ keeps me calm when we are crammed inside the ‘bas mini’ of KK. ‘Little buddy’ keeps me happy everytime when I am not in a good mood…

So that’s why I have become attached to this ‘little buddy’ of mine….

Yea, I am still ‘not that happy’.. but I can still write this post nevertheless…

So long, goodbye, farewell, ciao to you… my Little Buddy

Blank-out... burned-out et all...

Hi everyone..

haaaa.... (long sigh) been very busy these few weeks with work commitment et al...

so I think I got 'burn out' a little bit so I was 'blank' and 'zonked' out...

didn't feel like doing anything. sometimes I just sat on the sofa at home feeling & thinking totally about nothing...

eventhough I put on the tv or radio... i wasn't interested or even looking or listening...

only my son 'crash' into my momentary 'nothingness' but when he is asleep.. i will go back to that 'blankness', 'nothingness' et al

maybe other factors too got me into this... maybe or maybe not

somehow you feel you just want to do anything...

i thought of posting some ramblings or edit those which i have kept/ saved earlier.. but i just feel not in the frame-of-mind...

well, i hope this feeling disappears soon so that i can get working to my normal 'gear' and at least do some posting on my ramblings...

haaaaa..... (long sigh)....

Buy a house, get a lady for free...

Read : http://malaysia.news.yahoo.com/ap/20080628/twl-heart-for-sale-1be00ca.html
& http://malaysia.news.yahoo.com/rtrs/20080701/tod-odd-auction-odd-dc-a929486.html

What is happening to the world nowadays? Before this there was an Australian man selling his properties plus free 'his life'. Now, there is a lady who also wants to do about the same, but including HERSELF FREE? How about that? Are the world going mad, or there is something wrong with my head?

Wah, very very 'bagus' kan? usually we buy e.g. 5 maggi mee & get 1 free. But since the world are 'canggih-er' nowadays, and because of these two 'pioneers' (or total nutters), we can get humans for free..

Imagine that... crazy? nuts? mad? or just a gimmick to sell their properties? to be creative and inventive? i don't know, but they sure are 'nutters' IMO

'Life's a treat, it's Shaun the sheep... baaaaaa' (nutters!!!)

Sudoku or whatever they may call that...

Ok, those of you who love Sudoku may give me a battering after reading this...

I don't know why a lot of people like this game. I mean it's just a game where they just arrange the numbers to 'win' it. I am not sure if this is a strategy, puzzle of whatever kind of games it is..

I never get it. This Sudoku is everywhere - in the newspapers, airline magazines, books, computers, handphones. online etc.. aaaarrrggghhhh!!!!. I even have friends who buy sudoku books, tonnes of them in his office and house, even in his car!! The other day, I saw someone 'play' Sudoku in the bus!! (yes, I go to work by bus.. hehe) It seems Sudoku has taken over the world.. and people are obsessed with it.

Crosswords are better I think, because at least you learn something by doing it. But Sudoku? what do you get from arranging numbers from 1 to 9? something mathematics? I don't know...

OK, if not crosswords, then play reversi kah.. whatever. But Sudoku? They call this game fun? huh!!!

What is it about this Sudoku-thingy?.. it's everywhere... aaarrrggghh!!! I am getting Sudoku-phobia now!! (and I am going to delete the Sudoku games in my laptop... it's pre-installed you know and I didn't install it!!)

Well, if you all taking hand-votes for Sudoku.. I ain't goin' to raise my hands... believe me!

Now.. who on earth invent this thing?... (I ain't going to check in wiki, my phobianess to sudoku explains.. don't even bother to tell me... aaarrrrggghhhh!!)
